Turgay Usanmaz
He was born in 1961 in Posof - Turkey. He is a graduate of Kars Dede Korkut Education Institute and Eskişehir Anadolu University Faculty of Business Administration. He worked first as a primary school teacher and then as a gym teacher in different parts of Turkey. He moved to the Netherlands in 1991 after his Bursa Uludağ School handball team, of which he was the coach, won first place nationally in Turkey.
In the Netherlands he also worked in education:
- 12 years Turkish native language teacher within the Dutch education system
- Dutch teacher within the Dutch education system (including the class of Dutch high-intelligence students)
- Dutch teacher in Dutch Adult Education (NT2 – Teaching Dutch as a second language to foreigners)
- Turkish teacher in Dutch Adult Education (NTI) (Teaching Turkish as a second language to foreigners)
